Custom Baseball Pants

Jerseys get admired. Pants get destroyed. A season of sliding, dirt and hot washing happens below the waist, which is why the pant is the garment that decides whether a team reorders from you next year.

Pants fail in two places

The knee. Every slide lands there. A single-layer knee on thin fabric will go through in one season, and the player who tears his pants remembers the brand on the label.

The hem. An open-bottom hem sits over the cleat and drags on the dirt. If the stitch is loose or the fabric is light, it frays within weeks and the whole uniform starts to look cheap.

Everything below is really about those two places.

Open bottom or elastic bottom

This is the first decision, and it changes the look of the whole uniform.

Open bottom hangs straight to the shoe, the way most high school, college and pro programmes wear it. It reads as traditional and is what buyers picture when they say "baseball pants". It also takes the most wear at the hem, so it needs the stronger finish.

Elastic bottom closes at the ankle and sits above or inside the sock. Youth teams choose it constantly, because the pant stays put and can be worn with the sock showing.

Many brands stock both in the same colour, since the two cover different buyers with one design. Want them cut shorter at the knee instead? That is a baseball knicker, and it has its own page.

The knee, and how we build it

A double-layer knee is the single upgrade worth paying for on a baseball pant. The extra panel sits exactly where the slide lands, and it costs very little per piece at bulk quantity.

If your buyers are youth and travel teams who slide every game, specify it. If the pants are for coaching staff or fan lines that never touch the dirt, skip it and keep the price down. Tell us which market the run is for and we will advise honestly — we would rather quote you the cheaper build than have a season of complaints come back.

Piping, waistband and the details buyers forget

• Piping. A single or double stripe down the outseam is the cheapest way to make a pant look like a uniform rather than a plain trouser. Match it to the jersey piping and the set holds together.
• Waistband. Belt loops for the traditional look, or an elasticated waist for youth sizes where belts get lost.
• Pockets. Back pockets if the pant doubles as practice wear; leave them off for a cleaner game pant.
• Colour. Grey and white sell the most, but a coloured pant photographs better in a catalogue. Most brands run both.

Fabric

Pants run in a stretch woven that moves with the player and holds its shape after washing — different cloth from the jerseys, because the job is different. We stock more than one weight, and the weight you order is recorded on your quote and printed on the spec sheet that ships with your sample. Send us a pant whose fabric you already trust and we will source to match it.

Sizing, and why it matters more here

A jersey that runs a size large is forgiving. Pants are not: inseam and waist have to be right or the whole shipment is returned. Full graded measurements — waist, inseam, thigh, knee and leg opening — are published in our baseball size charts before you order.

Check them against a pant your customers already wear, and tell us if you want the grading adjusted. Youth and adult sizes travel in the same order.

Ordering

Ten pieces per design, sizes free to vary inside that run. Samples take 7–10 days from approved artwork, and bulk follows 2–4 weeks after you sign that sample off. Pants sew slower than jerseys, so large mixed orders sit at the longer end of that window.

Terms: 50% deposit, balance before dispatch, by bank transfer to our company account. Western Union and MoneyGram are available for samples and small opening orders. Every pair ships under your own label. Distributors ordering across the range should read our wholesale production terms.
